Customer Review: A life saver for ills and pains
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a pinched nerve in my back and am awaiting surgery. In the meantime, I spend much time on this marvelous throw. Heating pads are the thing of the past for me. This product is great.

Customer Review: Amazing
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a great investment. This blanket is really superb and feels really soft. I thought the auto 3 hour off was going to be a pain but it's actually not so bad. It's nice to know that it turns off and it won't short circuit and blow up on me while I sleep. My roommate has a fleece electric blanket and hers started pilling & now it doesn't feel as nice as before. These microplush ones stay nice and soft all the time. PLUS it's in a cute pink color for breast cancer awareness. What more can I ask for? If you're afraid of the cold winter nights, don't hesistate. This really will be one of the best investments you can make. :) I really love mine. ^-^

Customer Review: Awesome Throw
Summary: 5 Stars

I am ecstatic over this throw. It is very soft and very warm. I love it. I keep it on the couch and ready for use. You do have to turn it down after a few minutes as it gets really warm. The microplush material feels great. I would recommend this throw to anyone. It is a perfect size. And some of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. It is a light pink color (hense breast cancer). I couldn't be more pleased. LOVE IT!!!!

Customer Review: Awkward to use and not even soft!
Summary: 2 Stars

Wow - what a disappointment! I have been relying on (and writing) reviews here for 10 years, and while I know that consensus is rare, I can usually get a good feel for a product by reading a wide sample of reviews. For whatever reason (shills?) - not so in this case. This is the worst electric blanket I have ever used.

COMFORT: While the microplush covering is sort of soft, it does not make up for the huge and stiff wires throughout the blanket (a la old-style 1960s electric blankets!). The whole thing is so stiff as to be unpliable and uncomfortable to try to wrap around yourself. There is no snuggling or cuddling into this thing at all. It also has a paper 'label' that is attached to the surface (not the edge) of the blanket and does not come off. Try having that rub on your skin - awful. If you're looking for an electric blanket to lie flat on top of your bed - it could work, sandwiched between 2 nice blankets so you never have to touch it. But you don't want it touching your skin and you don't wan to try to wrap it around you.

PLUG PLACEMENT: Truly awful. It's like they tried to find the most inconvenient plug placement imaginable. First - the cord from the blanket to the wall: it's on the bottom (foot) of the blanket and only a few feet long. If you're trying to use this on your couch, it really only works if you have an outlet right at your feet. If the outlet is behind you, say behind or next to your couch back, where most people's are, then you have to use this thing with the bottom edge (with huge plug and scratchy label) up at your chin!!! Beyond awkward, uncomfortable, and unpleasant! What were they thinking? Even if you use it in bed, you need to have an outlet at the foot of your bed. If the outlet is anywhere near the head of your bed, you again need to flip the blanket around and have the huge plug mechanism up near your face. So stupid.

CONTROLS: The control button is easy to use. That's the best thing I can say about this. But it's unnecessarily HUGE, and it's attached to the aforementioned awkwardly placed main plug! It's about 2' down the main cord from the bottom of the blanket; very hard to reach unless - again! - you have flipped the whole thing and have the bottom edge / mass of wires & plugs up near your face. If you do have an outlet near your feet and you can have the plug and wires down by your feet - then you are not reaching the control button without sitting up and leaning over. It's idiotic. Who designed this?

WARMTH: It does warm up quickly and has 3 heat setting, so I grudgingly gave it 2 stars instead of 1.

BOTTOM LINE: Stiff, not at all cuddly, really awkward to use, and uncomfortable - you'll be fighting the cord/plug placement unless you use it flat on a bed, with an outlet at your feet and no desire to use the control button. Not worth it.

Customer Review: BCA Microplush heated throw
Summary: 5 Stars

this product is wonderful. I love the plushness of the fabric. The controls are simple to use and understand. It heats up quickly and automatically shuts off after 2 hours. And the pink represents Breast Cancer Awareness.
