Tools and Hardware Reviews of Sunbeam Camelot Microplush Heated Throw, Breast Cancer Awareness PinkCustomer Review: Blanket Is Well Worth It!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have a leg condition that I must keep my legs warm even during the summer. This is a great product and works extremely well for me! Could not live without it at this point with winter coming!!
Customer Review: Blanket Review Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great little throw. It heats up perfectly with three different controls for heat. It's super soft and plushy ... my kids love it also. I would highly recommend this blanket to anyone.
Customer Review: Breast Cancer banner? Summary: 1 Stars
I personally get so tired of all the products being marketed under the Breast Cancer banner. If a company wants to donate money to support research etc - I think that's great and wonderful, but it ticks me off that they think that it is ok to use it as a marketing tool - it's not and I refuse to buy those products.
Sunbeam Microplush Throw SlumberRest Electric Heated Warming Blanket, Pink Breast Cancer
Who wants a product that has Pink Breast Cancer as part of its description?? Does that make a good gift??
Men in a position to make decisions at these companies have tried to pull at the heartstrings of women by labelling their goods this way and i'm fed up. How about big posters in the mens underwear department with banners about how part of the money from your boxer purchase goes to support research about prostate cancer. Why don't they have a blue blanket - Sunbeam Microplush Throw SlumberRest Electric Heated Warming Blanket, Blue Prostate Cancer.
Customer Review: Couldn't live without it! Summary: 5 Stars
First off: heated throw blankets are nearly worth their weight in gold! We had a nice one for a couple of years before it died last winter. In anticipation, I ordered this before winter truly set in. I am very pleased with this purchase. The blanket is a pleasant, pale pink colour and is quite soft (I anticipate that it will be even more so after one or two washings). I find it gets very warm even on low and have yet had to turn it up to high.
Customer Review: Everyone needs one Summary: 5 Stars
I feel much stronger after one use this November 2009.
I woke at 5am, but didn't feel like doing the usual 2 hours morning walk in the morning.
Turned on this electric blanket,
The blanket covered and the heat warmed the knees, thight muscles,
back, and belly area.
The heat transferred to my thighs make me feel much much stronger after
using for the first time.
Have to use "high" for the entire blanket to feel warm, the other settings
only warm about half the blanket.
Auto shut off after 3 hours reduce worry of forgetting, which could waste electricity and run bill at 24 hours x 100 watts/hour x current rate of 40 cents per thousand watts x 30 days or about $1 a day or about 30 a month.
Just 6 hours a day (3 hours before and 3 hours after) cost an extra
$30 /4 or about $8 a month.
Update December 11, 2009
Got one for the wife arrived last week. That's her Christmas gift.
I think she likes this better than me.
Price was $29. Now the price went up again ??
Have to see if these go bad after 2 years, like the bigger electric blankets
described by other reviews.
