Customer Review: Great for providing extra heat

The blanket works. I shopped around and decided on this one and don't regret my decision. I like to heat my bed up before I sleep so I can climb into a warm bed. Then I shut it off and just fall asleep. This can provide extra heat without turning up your thermostat.
Pros:
-Soft plushy material - feels great on skin and feet, and more attractive than those threaded ones at the stores. Bascially, it feels like a fluffy towel.
-Covers pretty large area. It almost covers my full sized bed.
-Affordable
-Auto-shut off after 3 hrs for safety. If you want it longer than that, just unplug it and plug back in.
-Keeps me warm without overheating
-Three heat settings: Low, Med, High.
Cons:
-the plug in the middle bottom of the blanket is not practical! Gets in the way with the corded remote control.
-It only heats well on the "High" button. And sometimes even that is not as hot as I would like it, but I guess this is for safety
-Two plugs: one for the wall and one from the wall plug to your blanket plug. As one reviewer stated, the in between plug falls out easily.
-You can feel the wires (it's like huge S shapes that go back and forth throughout the blanket). It didn't bother me much, you get used it after a while. I put a thin sheet between me and the blanket (good for cushioning between you and the blanket in case it gets very heated). One time I was so cold, I pressed the blanket up against me for 2 hrs and the heat from one of the wires penetrated my leg like a burn (it wasn't a burn though) so just be cognizant if you're leaving it on "High" and staying stationary for a while.
Overall recommended. The price justifies the cons.

This blanket is SO soft! I'm always cold and my fiance is always hot, so it's easier for me to layer and allow the house to be cooler. I have trouble with my hands and feet always being cold so he bought this for me as a gift. It's the PERFECT blanket! For those looking for a super hot blanket- it doesn't warm up extremely hot, but I still find it quite warm. It's a great size for me (5'7'') and I am not having the issues with the cord location as others have reported. I find that I'm able to move about freely just fine. This is a definite great gift! This throw is the perfect size for me. It coves a full size or queen bed. It's very soft and plush. The heat is very warm and cozy to me. I put it on medium and that was perfect. I love that it has a timer so that I can go to sleep with it plugged in. i don't know if that is recommended but I did it a few times. I am very happy I ordered it and the shipping was super fast! I bought this for my mom because she has arthritis and winter is very hard on her. She loves it (and so do the cats unfortunately)! It doesn't get as hot as I thought it would, but it gets pretty warm. The material is VERY soft and high quality. It isn't a felt like I thought it was from the picture. Everything about this throw is perfect--it's affordable, cute, and practical. Note that it is a THROW and not a BLANKET, so it's smaller. It's good for my drafty apartment. My only complaint is that the cord is a little too short, but other than that, it's a great buy!
