Tools and Hardware Reviews of Suncast GO3216 Golf OrganizerCustomer Review: Our Clubs are Organized! Summary: 4 Stars
It took about fifteen to twenty minutes to put our organizer together. I enjoy putting things together, but for someone who does not, this may present a challenge. Labeled panels and parts would be very helpful. The organizer is neat and our clubs fit in there well. My wife and I have starter golf clubs sets. Two complete sets might be a tight fit, but this organizer should hold them. Nice compartments for the golf balls and tees; great buy and we are really satisfied!!!
Customer Review: Perfect Product! Summary: 5 Stars
My husband had spent an entire weekend re-organizing the garage but still didn't know what to do with all the golf gear. I went online to Amazon and searched for garage organizers and voila' this popped up! it is absolutely perfect for the spot we set aside. I surprised him with it and he put it together immediately. It is well constructed, sturdy and very spacious! I highly recommend this product, wish the company would create a fishing gear organizer that is as nice!
Customer Review: Pretty much as described Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, I like it, but there were a few flaws, and it's not quite as useful as it could be ... thus four stars instead of five.
I put it in the corner of my garage and it looks nice. I have a cart bag and a few extra clubs, umbrellas, etc., all of which sit quite nicely in the left side.
I can get two pairs of shoes in the bottom shelf if I stack them atop each other. Only one pair in the second shelf, but I only have three pairs, so that's just right. The third shelf is good for golf balls ... room for several dozen. The top shelf will serve well as a general junk hamper because it has a bottom and four sides.
All of that is well and good, and it would have been nearly perfect if it would have also had room for extra stuff ... hats, towels, extra head covers ... and that sort of stuff. I may put some hooks on the wall above the unit for that.
Assembly was fine ... no problems, and no extra tools required (two hex keys included). The gage of the metal is adequate, but I think it should have been a bit better for something that costs $70+, and there is a crease in the mesh in one area (alhtough it is not noticeable when in use) ... otherwise, I found the product quality (fit, finish, etc.) to be good. One of the pieces of foam trim was not installed correctly so I'll have to get some double-sided tape to reinstall it, but I consider that a very minor issue.
I had considered building one out of wood but decided to take the easy way out. All-in-all, I'm happy I have this unit, but if I had it to do all over again I would probably build one so that I could get exact what I want for the same or less money.
Customer Review: Sturdy golf organizer with room for just about everything! Summary: 5 Stars
So I also read other buyers' reviews and for the most part I think they were accurate. The organizer came in a sturdy, well packaged box. Mine was basically free of any damage (maybe a small scratch or dent to the mesh sides but pretty insignificant).
The instructions are pretty sparse but you can figure it out easily enough if you lay everything out and read through the 3 pages before starting. I assembled it alone and it wasn't the easiest thing to do - a second set of hands would have been helpful. But I DID do it alone in about 50 minutes. One lesson learned that I highly suggest: don't tighten any of the screws too much as you're assembling the base & sides, just enough to keep it together. This gives you some slack as you add and align the other pieces. Tighten everyhting AFTER you've assembled all the body parts.
One small complaint: each piece has a # and, I think, there's supposed to be a small sticker on each part with that number on it. Mine was missing some and - of course - I did end up using the wrong back panel the first time I assembled the base. A small issue that was corrected pretty quickly but something to bear in mind before you start.
The organizer looks good, fits in my spare room nicely and, most important, it holds a lot of stuff! I neatly placed 4 pairs of shoes in the two lower shelves (no, not side by side, stacked on top of each other), a few spare towels, accessories, tools and about 4 dozen balls in the top compartment. Now I don't think I'd call it a 2 bag organizer exactly, certainly not if you have Cart Bags only. It probably does fit 2 small carry bags however. But again, I don't consider that a complaint; if you read the dimensions before purchasing you should be able to tell if your bags will fit.
All in all I am very satisfied with this item and would recommend it for use in either a spare room or garage.
Customer Review: Suncast GO3216 Golf Organizer Summary: 4 Stars
The Suncast G03216 Golf Organizer is overall quite good. It has several good features including it's all metal frame which is sturdy, and handles indoor humidity with ease (mine is stored in the basement where it's cooler and a bit more humid than the rest of the house). The adjustable foot rests allow for compensating uneven surfaces if required. The open top allows for some versatility in storing different bag heights, and the lip-bar at the bottom ensures that the bags will not slide off the rack floor. It does not provide an area to stow a pullcart if you have one; however, not many golf organizers do. The organizer is much easier to assemble with two people; however, if going it alone, read all the instructions first and hash out a gameplan.
I only have to beefs with this organizer:
(1) The bag storage area is not quite big enough to hold two professional size bags. Just a few inches in both width and depth would have made this unit much more versitile in accommodating golf bags of all levels.
(2) The organizer did not come with the front skirt as shown in the picture on the box. This piece covers the gap between the floor and the base of the unit. I had called the 800 number and was informed that the unit does not come with it. All the pictures still display this piece. Although I was assured that the skirt does not affect the structure of the organizer, I think it would provide greater reinforecement of the side walls, and besides, it's aesthetically pleasing...
I picked mine up on sale for $[...] at Target, and for the price, it's a very good buy. The design is not the best for weight distribution as both bags are stored side by side. If you are a golfer which has a couple of those professional size gofl bags, you will probably want to spend the extra money and invest in an organizer which has the storage shelves in the middle and the golf bags on either side. This will allow for more even weight distribution in the areas where the organizer is the strongest. golfoutletsusa.com is currently selling one for $[...].
