Tools and Hardware Reviews of Surefire E2D-BK Defender 60 Lumens Incandescent Flashlight Strike Bezel BlackCustomer Review: Big price for not much Summary: 1 Stars
We own three Surefire lights including a costly rechargeable version.
The recharged batteries work for about four minutes, then fade away.
We've had Surefire bulbs simply explode or vaporize when we turned them on, leaving us in the dark in a bad spot.
The 3-volt lithium batteries that are supposed to have a shelf-life of 10 years, may stand on a shelf for a long time, but when you need them, they can fade in just a few minutes.
When we've had problems, Surefire 'customer service' simply gave us the phone number of their 'technical department' -- which doesn't handle customer problems.
These lights are grossly overpriced. I think we mistakenly equated high price with high quality.
We don't count on Surefires. Simply too may failures. For work on the farm or in emergency situations, we need lights that are not only pretty, but are reliable.
We're going back to Maglites, which are dependable, have easy-to-replace batteries and cost 1/10th as much as Surefires.

Well what can I say it is a surefire and all that entails, very bright, convenient to fit in a pocket and just generally useful.

Customer Review: Everyone should own a Surefire Defender Summary: 5 Stars
If you are like our family we all hike, bike, hunt and camp as much as possible. The surefire defender is lightweight, compact and for the product you receive is very affordable. Once seeing the surfire defender you will want to purchase one for everyone in your family especially your female family members. The Surefire Defender is brighter than my Mag Light and easier to carry.
Customer Review: Executive deffender Summary: 5 Stars
I always carry a nice pocket knife and a flash light .
I have the executive defender. I wish i had gotten a light without the sharp edges on it. I mean they aren't sharp like a knife, but in your pocket they don't feel good if you carry the light and reach in your pocket for change. I have had my light cut a hole in a pair of pants.
that being said, i love this light, the batteries don't last long, but i normally don't have my light on for an hour where i cant get to a fresh set of batteries.
my chief complaint
The belt clip cant compare to the one on my Benchmade knife.
