My first most expensive light I ever bought. I own 3 of these now. I like how it is tough, small, and bright.

I do notice how it lacks a push button always on switch and sometimes worry about that for self-defense situations.

Overall I like the light and would recommend it for its brightness and size.

I was first introduced to Surefire Flashlights on my first deployment to Iraq. They are simply amazing lights. Small, yet brighter than almost any comparable flashlight out there. I own four of them and this is my favorite model because it is lightweight, easy to carry, and very bright. Because of this it also doubles as my grilling light when at home. Battery life is really good and as of yet I have not had single bulb burn out. Another one of those items that I consider buying for all the men in my family as gifts because of its great quality.

I've had this flashlight for a little over 3 months now (upgraded from a Streamlight Scorpion). The Streamlight can't hold a candle to this Surefire. Beam quality, focus, run time (they both run on two 123a batteries)and build quality far surpass the Streamlight product. This is definitely a case of getting what you paid for.

It might seem expensive at first, but, remember, you'll go through 12x as many batteries (at lower output) with a "traditional" incandescent 123a-powered light----1 hour runtime vs. 12 hours. The LED technology that Surefire has in this light is first class. You won't be dissappointed. PS Get your batteries from Surefire too---About $20 for a box of 12.

I have one of these and it is amazing - incredibly bright and it can truely blind an advesary. It will 'flood' a room fully with light and also 'spots' at a long distance better than my 6 D-cell mag light - may maglight rest in peace! This is the Nitrolon (plastic) version of the 'all-metal' 6P LED version - has same metal lamp assembly as all-metal more expensive version. As of today this appears to be a - discontinued model with an 80 lumen P60L led lamp assembly. The current model G2 LED per SureFire's web site now has an XR4 led lamp assembly with a 120 lumnen output (50% more light but much shorter run time 2 hrs vs 12 hrs). It might be worth getting this model with P60L lamp if the output is adequate and you want the extended runtime - while they are still availble. Note the P60L lamp assembly is no longer available as a part from Surefire; XR4 is listed as the replacemant part.
