I had received an Executive knife over 30 years ago as a gift, and recently lost it. This model is just right for my needs - not too bulky at all for pants pockets, the scissors and file are bigger than the classic (and thus better to me) and the knife blades retain their edge. I don't really use the orange peeler, but the tweezers and toothpick are handy.Customer Review: Knife

The Victorinox Executive is my favorite Swiss Army knife. My father gave me my first one, and I've carried one in my pocket for the past 20 years. At 3" long and 2.1 oz in weight, it's a good size for a man's trouser pocket as opposed to the larger Swiss Army knives (eg, the Swiss Army Altimeter Tool at 3.5" long and 3.8 oz in weight which goes in my backpack). Of the multiple functions, I end up using the small scissors the most; the two knife blades, orange peeler, standard screwdriver, nail file, tweezers, and toothpick come in handy, too. My only problem in these post-9/11 days is that I can't carry it with me on airline flights, which leaves me feeling a little helpless at times.An excellent gift idea!

I left mmy knife in an Enterprise rental. I chose not to recover it because I did not want any additional involvement with them after do to their incompitance resulted in them taking the car from me in nowhere Nebraska causing to be stuck there for days for the storm. Eventhough I did get the car back after I paid the tow I will never use Enterprise in the future. I was very happy to get the new knife at my cost. I have carried this particular style of knife for forty years. It has the perfect combination of stuff for many situations. I have had to replace it before and it has not changed which is a big plus. This knife is a replacement for one I had to 'donate' to the USTS at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. I had forgotten to pack it in the checked baggage. I went to several chains that sell Swiss Army knives but none had the model I wanted. Amazon did not show it as being available until I learned the model name and number from Swiss Army's website. By entering the name and model number, Amazon found it for me. The Executive has all of the blades and functions that I need. It is simply - the best!
