I liked the concept of this plug, but not long after I started using it with my microwave oven, the oven shorted out and was ruined. I'm not sure whether the microwave or cord was to blame, and I probably would have been better off with a surge protector that would have offered better protection against power fluctuations, but it still left enough doubt in my mind to warrant a 3 star grade instead of 5 stars. I'm not a neat-freak, but I hate it when the profusion of electronics devices I own result in an unsightly rat's nest of cables/wires/cords. I've been remodeling my home office, and have wanted to hide as many of the cables/wires/cords as I can. I also want those cables/wires/cords which are exposed to view to be as unobtrusive as possible. I've owned flatplug extension cords like this in the past, and have always loved the concept. In this case, I have a grounded cord (necessary because of the sensitive electronics plugged into it) that drops straight down to the floor, which I can then tuck under carpet where it meets the baseboard. The fact that the cord for this outlet extension is flat makes tucking it into such tight places, especially around a corner, is a huge, huge plus. Even if you're not as picky about visible wires/cables/cords as I am, I don't think you can go wrong with the purchase of this flatplug extension cord, especially if you've got a couch up against the wall, and can't get it as close to the wall as you'd like, because of a big fat monstrosity of a plug, or transformer.Customer Review: Very Useful Product.

This is a great product. It's very hard to fit furniture against a wall if the plug sticks out too far. This allows you to make use of the outlet even if your furniture needs to fit tightly against that wall.

These are incredibly handy. For the times when I need extension, only have a few things to plug in (as opposed to a surge protector, my favorite beingBelkin Pivot-Plug Surge Protectors), or need to plug in behind something, this flatplug is wonderful.
Fits flush against the wall so I have it behind a dresser. All plugs should be designed like this!!
