We have owned this scale for over 8 months. During the past couple months, the scale has been resetting itself within a few minutes of a previous weighing. Then it shows a weight different from the one it had just shown before the resetting. The manufacturer's website offers no help. This scale is just what I wanted. I get on, it gives me my current weight, and that is it. No bells or whistles. I like that it is solar powered as I'm saving the environment of batteries and from a dark room to the bathroom light on it charges in less than a minute, maybe 30 seconds. I just bought this scale and it seems to be simple and accurate. I did not want any bells and whistles.
However does anyone know if the weight reading is supposed to blink until you get off the scale? When I step on it displays the weight, blinking, then I get off and the weight stays there not blinking for a few seconds then it turns off.
I guess I can live with that but it seems strange that it keeps blinking...like it is not quite certain that the weight is right.
Can somebody tell me if that is how it works?

I have only had the Tanita HS301 Solar Powered Electronic Bathroom Scale for only a month. When I first received the scale, I purposely weighed myself every hour to see if the scale would maintain its accuracy and it did. Never once did the scale fluctuate. I now purposely do not weigh myself but twice a month with hopes of seeing positive results within that time period. Once again, the scale maintains its accuracy. Another wonderful feature is that it is solar powered. So far, very little lighting is required for the scale to work. This means, money will be saved due to not needing to purchase batteries. Therefore, I am completely satisfied with this product.
