This is a great device for ghost hunting. It not only displays measurements in megahertz it also displays milligauss. It is specifically designed to pick up the pulses created by voices being tranmitted between cell phones and displays these pulses in megahertz. It can also pick up ELF band electromagnetic energy and displays this in milligauss. The separate sensor allows you to check areas while still being able to hold the unit at an angle where you can easily see the display. The unit will only work with the separate sensor attached, it will not work without it. The unit lights up when even the slightest hit is received making it very useful in the dark where the display cannot be seen. This tool has numerous applications. The EMF Sensor has a practical use of discovering "Harmful" and excessive magnetic anomalies due to electronics. Though specified for a cell phone, this tool can be used to sweep your home for issues with wiring or electronic equipment. There are numerous physiologic side effects the body undergoes with aberrant magnetic signals. Changing channels affords you to use this tool (as an aid) in paranormal research of unexplained activity. The Cellsensor was easy to use and helped find "hot spots" (where there is too much EMF radiation) and rearrange bed or furniture so we're not exposed to the hotspots.
Most culprits: Refrigerators, stoves, light dimmers, any kind of transformer/power adapter, outdoor power lines, fuse box. I don't think I need something more sophisticated for home use.
Home Contractors should have this.
Beware: An wall may show no EMF until the wires behind it carry a load (something is plugged into a socket that uses electricity).

I JUST RECEIVED MINE TODAY. IT WORKS VERY GOOD. IT HAS A VOLUME CONTROL, SO YOU CAN USE IT WITHOUT DISTURBING ANYONE. IT HAS A RED LIGHT WHICH GETS STRONGER AS APPROCHING ELECTROMAGNATIC FIELDS. AS DOES THE BEEP, IF IT'S TURNED HIGHER. IT IS VERY ACCURATE AS FAR AS I CAN SEE. IF YOU USE IT, MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT NEAR A TV OR A APPLICANCE, THAT'S IF YOU ARE GHOSTHUNTING. WELL MADE PRODUCT.
