I wanted to try out an EMF meter to see how bad it was in my house. At the discounted price, I don't think you can beat this. I no longer sit right next to my TV. I also am able to find spots in my living room that are low on EMF. The Cell Sensor, while developed to detect cell phone signal/emission leaks is also a fantastic 1st EMF meter for any aspiring Paranormal Investigator.
The wired probe allows you to get into places to discount man-made EMF's and the adjustable volume allows you to go from silent (light only) to "Oh my god! turn it down!"
This is a general reading device and is great for any beginner in the field.

I bought this EMF detector because I was going on a night tour of the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. I don't know if I honestly expected to catch anything, but my wife and I thought it would be fun.
I got a lot of false positives when I would bump into a person, something probably having to do with the probe's connection getting jostled in the hole. I did like how it would light up when there was an EM spike, though I don't remember if I could turn that off. The biggest EM source that I found at the Winchester Mystery House was walking out of the house and into the gift shop...there was a huge electrical box next to the door!
I did see this same item used in a TV scary movie, so that was kind of cool to see. All in all, it was nice to use, but I wish that the probe was integrated INTO the device. You can't use the device without the probe.
