I purchased this item over a year ago (Feb 08?) and loved it from moment one. The apples that I washed in it tasted better and I felt better about the strawberries I bought (that had to be run 4 or more times!). It did an excellent job of removing mold from siding outside our house and we cleaned an area we knew was dirty with a spray bottle and then used a UV light and was very pleased. I liked that we were reducing the amount of chemicals used in our home.
After 8 months of use, it stopped working. There was no change in the manner of use, it just stopped (F4). I contacted customer service several times and had problems getting through. The website seems almost like a ghost town with how only some of the phone numbers and email addresses work. Customer service asked questions about our outlets and I assured them they were standard. I am told I can pay to send it in and pay to have it repaired but the cost sounds like I could also just buy a new one for the same amount. I loved it when it worked and I'm very disappointed to go without it.

We bought this item 2 years ago and intended to use it for wash fruit and vegetable. It started to have F1 error after we used it for 3 times. We had done everything according to the user guidance. It functioned again for a couple of time then showes F1 error again. After that, it did never get through 100% of cleaning process. We have to dispose it.Customer Review: F4 errors? Other reviewers have mentioned getting an error code when trying to use the Lotus system. I have also had error codes in two situations, but I figured out how to deal with them.
The first error code I have encountered occurs when there is no water in the base. During processing, water circulates between the base and the attachment you have chosen (either the bowl or the spray bottle). Between uses, clean water remains in the base unit. However, when you are first starting out, or if you have emptied the base unit, it takes time to get water into the base unit. This is when I have had an F4 error code. I remove the attachment, fill the blue reservoir on the base with water, and then put the empty bowl on the base unit. Using a large measuring cup, I pour cool tap water directly over the valve system in the bottom of the bowl to get water to go through the valve into the base. Then I turn on the processing cycle and see if it will go. If not, I repeat these steps until it does. Normally you do not have to worry about this, because clean water will be left in the base between uses. -end
I wasted WAY too much time and frustration w/ this issue, even Tersanos own tech support couldn't offer a solution that worked, although they are very nice and tried to help!
Seriously, just follow the good Dr.'s advice exactly and you'll be good to go in under a minute and error free thereafter- at least w/the F4's, that is ;-).
I KNOW this will help others ready to send it back out of frustration... This quick fix info should be BOLDLY stated on the machine, manual, website, everywhere!

I bought both units from Costco. I had a lot of problems with the water processor. I rarely did with this one, once I learned how to use it properly. READ! READ! READ!
IF you have any problems Tersano is FANTASTIC about repairing and promptly returning, shipping paid both ways, with a pick up by UPS or FedEx, I don't remember which. Actually they sometimes returned an extra pitchers in the box. I sent it in 3 or 4 times and they were great every time. I finally returned that one to Costco.
This one I haven't had to send in I just can't remember where I put my spare Booster Cartridges. I found the most error msgs. I got with this unit was when the water level was on the line or Below. If I overfilled it, it seemed to be less of a problem. If you need a new cartridge you will get an F1 error. That means it is taking too long to process. Just READ & Follow the Instructions. Fantastic Unit.
Tersano says not to drink this water but to get the other processor for drinking water, I Wonder Why? I have found I can take filtered water from my refrigerator, process it, let it sit for at least 15 minutes and then drink. JUST DON'T Drink Too Soon, 15 min. +++. I use the spray bottle minus the top to make it easier to process my drinking water. I may buy a Pur countertop filter to put it in after processing and see if that is even better. Sometimes the Ozone taste is a little strong but I don't mind it as it disapates with time. I like having the water treated.
ONE MORE Thing, DO NOT push down too hard or you will eventually loosen the part in the bottom of the spray bottle. I ruined a new spray bottle, it came apart. Put it on with a little pressure firm, Not a Lot. Have it on the correct setting, depending on which unit you're using, and you'll do Fine. You Will Love It as Many Others Do Also as I have been reading.
I am going on about 1 & 1/2 years of use now and I still Love It! If it died completely I would Buy Another One Immediately.

There are many products in the market that advertised many wonderful things. Are the promises delivered? That's why I haven't bought this product. How do I know if this product is or is not harmful? Most of us consumers have no knowledge about scientific theories or facts of this product. Have you tried those diet pills? You know what I'm talking about. I will not buy anything like this unless they're approved by FDA or any reputable organization. Why RISK your health and spend hard earned money on something that you're not certained about it. Do your research before you buy it, or wait until this product is tested by a reputable organization not just some independent labs.
