Tools and Hardware Reviews of Tersano lotus LWM100 Wet Mop

Customer Review: Tersano Lotus Wet Mop
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had the sanitizing system for over a year, maybe close to 2 years and I love it. I've only had the mop for about a month but I think it's a great addition to the sanitizing system and it seems sturdy so I don't anticipate it breaking anytime soon.

Now let me just say that before I purchased the mop I was already mopping with the Lotus water - I would just use the spray bottle and an old towel which I would stand on and push around. Yes, this was a very weird way to mop but since I loved using the Lotus water it was worth the extra effort. If you can't afford the mop but want the sanitizing system then try that. If you can afford the mop, I really like the following things about it(and I'm sure most will just repeat what others have said):

1. The microfiber cloth works GREAT. Soaks up tons of water and seems to scrub just fine. I would definitely suggest purchasing extras if you have many floors to mop or mop often - I use just one for 1 kitchen + 1 bath but I'm sure most people have more flooring to clean.

2. Cloth is easy enough to put on - even after washing/drying multiple times.

3. Seems like a very sturdy product so it's not going to break easily.

4. Sprays a decent amount of water each time so you're not constantly having to spray. Definitely easier to use than using the spray bottle for mopping. I'm not sure if you were using some sort of cleaner if it would be TOO much - but I never plan on using it with cleaner so someone else will have to figure that out.

5. Water container holds more than enough water for my kitchen & bathroom so I'm sure if you have multiple bathrooms you could do them all - well, as long as you can do it within 15 minutes!

The only bad things I can think of:

1. It's such a bright lime green - some people might like that, it's not my personal taste but it's certainly nothing to complain about.

2. It's a little loud when you spray. My cats wonder what the heck is going on - but again, not a big deal since you can just close the door if it disturbs others in your home.

Customer Review: Want to love it
Summary: 2 Stars

I Want to love my mop. It is great idea. It feels nice and sturdy and the cloth cover cleans so much more effectively than my Swiffer ever did. Unfortunately, it only works when IT wants to, not when I want it to and that's a huge problem. Sometimes it will spray nicely and I can zip through a room in a few minutes. Other times it just makes a sick whining sound and noting comes out at all. I've tried adjusting and even changing the batteries but it's just not helping. I hope that the company will make a more reliable version of this product. I would be happy to try it again once the issues are resolved.

Customer Review: Wanted to love it but...

I loved the idea of this mop, especially as an alternative to the Swiffer. It was great - for a month. Then a piece inside the water container broke off, making it leak constantly. I called the company, and they quickly replaced the mop. However, the same piece broke on the replacement mop within a month! I guess I'm back to my Swiffer...

Customer Review: Works great and dries fast
Summary: 5 Stars

I was debating between this mop and a steam mop. I went with this mop because it was half the price of a steam mop and it doesn't have to be plugged in while in use. I already own the Tersano system so I tried it. After putting in the batteries, nothing happened. I thought maybe I didn't connect it together right or it is a DOA. My husband reseated the batteries and it works great. I'm not sure if the oxygenated water kills on contact or I need to leave it for a little while. I spray the water around the kitchen then go around mop it. By the time I'm done, the other end of the kitchen is dried already. The mop is hard to push when the pad is dry. I usually wet the pad first, ring it out and then put it on. It glides nicely when wet. To save time from having to slip off a dirty pad and then put on a new one, I put both of them on at the same time. When one gets dirty, I simply slip it off and I'm ready to go. It cleans the tiles well. With tough dirt spot, I put the pad on its edge and use it to scrub. It doesn't clean the grout that well or grease spots. But it really feels clean when I'm done mopping and I love walking on the floor afterward. I no longer worry about my kids eating stuff off the floor. It is also useful in the bathrooms to clean around the toilet. Turn it on edge to clean the baseboards. Very handy mop. I hope they will make a hand-held version of the foam pad and microfiber for glass and other surfaces.

Update: It is now May and the mop is still working great. It is not just the microfiber pad that makes the difference. I just cleaned the floor tonight and as I walk over the dried floor, it doesn't feel smooth. It was sort of tacky and not as shiny. I charged up another batch and gave it the "sniff" test. It didn't smell like ozone so I checked the cartridge and sure enough, it needed replacing. So you can tell the difference when the ozone is not present. I just wish there is an indicator like on the base unit to let you know when it needs replacing. I bought a bunch of ozone test strips from a spa place. When it gets here, I'm going to test the water to see how much ozone is present and a good way to check when it is low.

Customer Review: great product, great company

I really love the Tersano lotus wet mop. At 1st I couldn't get it to work so I sprayed floor cleaner on the floor and wiped it up with the mop. It has a bit of drag, the mop doesn't slide over the floor like some; but the asist handle makes it easy to really "scrub". A couple of calls to Lotus customer service got my "glitch" fixed and now I can use my mop with the motorized spray. If I wish I can use any cleaning mixture I have on hand. Or I can use the sanitizing water made by my Lotus unit.

The handle is a bit long, closer to a "normal" mop handle. It is possible to use without stooping or bending. The mop head is machine washable; but it is also possible to use both sides before tossing it into the machine. I bought several extra heads so I could do one load of them.

I use a cane to walk, and the mop is sturdy enough to lean on a bit if needed. I believe you can't find better.
