The gift recipient loved it! It came in a package with a clear plastic cover over the face and is shrink-wrapped so that it was relatively easy to wrap but you would have to open it in order to include a box of tissues. But it comes with the little faux tissue you see in the picture so the recipient will know what the gift is for.Customer Review: Great gift

Another reviewer complained that Rudy is not brown, that reviewer is correct....Rudy is not brown, he is a great mossy green color as I imagine old stones would look. All the tips here in the reviews on how to put him up on his side (i.e., metal bookends inserted in bottom, paper-clip on wall w/leaves to cover, screw into wall...) are very helpful. Rudy also looks just great laying down. I'm using him in a somewhat formal / antique(ish) dark wood bathroom and he looks fantastic ..... his colors fit in perfectly but he is a great source of humor..... I have him on top of a small book table, near the loo, that has some pretty funny bathroom humor books in it... never fails to get a laugh &/or remark.
My only small complaint would be that it is a little difficult to get the tissues to come out (the nose...lol) without tearing but after a few then it works well. Also, my favorite tissue Puffs Plus w/aloe, does not make a box or tissue that works well in this box... too bad, they are the best tissues.
All in all I am happy with this purchase and would definitely buy it again. I will be getting a few for gifts.

I laughed when I first saw this in an office and realized it was just what I needed to break tension while conducting a counseling session. It is well made and makes for great conversation. This is a great conversation piece! Everyone who see's it gets such a kick out of it! I have the tissue box sitting on my desk (sitting vertically, like the picture). Other comments posted above suggest you can't do this... but I may have a newer version of it and they have made the appropriate changes to the tissue box design.
Pro's: It has an elastic band across the back to hold the tissue box in (it fits nice and snuggly)- and you can display it horizontally or vertically (like the picture). Also, it comes with a wall mount bracket (it is a screw with an L-shaped end that hooks through the top of the box).
Con's: I buy larger tissue boxes (e.g., Puffs) and they stick out the back of the tiki tissue box holder. If you try to hang it with this larger box, the bracket does not work (you can create other hangers to compensate for this with the L brackets you find at the hardware store). Even so, you will still see the bottom of the tissue box peaking through. Also, the tissues do not come out easily... once you feed the first tissue through, the others do not follow. I have had to 'pick the Tiki's nose' to get the much needed tissues (which is not easy when you have a sneeze attack!)
The daily smiles are enough to make up for the other issues, so I give this a '4'!
