Tools and Hardware Reviews of Tool Band-It Adjustable Magnetic Arm BandCustomer Review: Great purchase! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my brother for Christmas, and he loves it! He is a handyman, and is always working up on the ladder. He said that the magnetic power is great, good enough to hold anything he's put on there, yet he is easily able to pull anything off. He recommends this for anyone who will be using tools anytime where it is not easy to move around, carry stuff, or up high on a ladder. Very happy with this, so much so that we bought one for our Dad for Father's Day!
Customer Review: It's a keeper Summary: 5 Stars
After reading some of the mixed reviews, pleasantly surprised when I received my Tool Band-It today and found it quite acceptable. I tried it on both my forearm and above my elbow. No problem attaching a small collection of wrenches, files, and screwdrivers to see how much it would hold. Might add some foam padding to the inside as some have mentioned that it can be uncomfortable when used on bare skin. Overall a nice inexpensive addition to my toolbox.
Customer Review: Item is awesome, packaging not. Summary: 5 Stars
Lying on your back under a vehicle trying to fix something can be frusturating on it's own. No need to also be frusturated because you can't reach or find any of those nuts, bolts, or sockets you had a minute ago. This magnet arm band keeps everything close at hand! Yes! Finally! This thing is great, but...
If you have smaller arms, you will have to wear this above your elbow (not as convienient). This fits my husband's forearm great, but I guess I need to make my own. It's too big for me :(
Also, this item did not come on nice, descriptive, colorful card like in the picture. It was packaged in bubblewrap, then put in a plain white cardboard box. It looked like someone had opened the package, removed the original packaging, and re-packaged the item. If this had not been a gift, I may not have minded. Since it was for someone else, I had to explain what the item was - they had no idea. The lack of descriptive packaging also made the item seem cheap. Not the impression I was going for in my gift-giving.

Customer Review: Lots of powerful magnets! Summary: 5 Stars
Wow, this band really can hold over 20 pounds of iron and steel. Not that you would want anywhere near that much weight strapped to your arm. But that's not the point: These are the real-deal, quarter-sized, rare-earth neodymium magnets. Any more hyphens and they would create time distortion, and then you'd always be late to work because of powerful magnets. And that's not a viable excuse.
There is also no viable excuse for the silly little straps on this magnetrocity. Well, maybe the price. This thing is nearly as inexpensive as the Chinese labor used to assemble it. The straps, though, are non-elastic and a little scratchy on bare skin. Maybe it's good that they aren't elastic. If you wear it too tight on your upper arm it can feel disturbingly like a blood-pressure cuff. So getting the straps to just the right tightness can be tricky and requires a couple adjustments. I tried it on my forearm too and that works pretty well.
Back to the raison d'etre for this thing: the gazillion magnets that can warp space-time. The power becomes useful when you want to hold oddly shaped things: Various sockets, screws, washers, nuts, screw tips... I use this in conjunction with my impact driver which has a 1/4" quick-change. I'll be running some copper pipe and will need a 3/8", 1/2", and 9/16" socket, Philips bit, and some metal clamps with nuts and bolts. I can keep ALL of this EASILY on my arm, ready to go, just throw your hand over there to your bicep and grab stuff, and when you switch out you just throw stuff at your arm and it stays. So fast. I have also taken it off my arm and stuck it to a a metal stud or pipe or a scissor lift and used it like an organizer.
My girlfriend thinks it looks like batman's suit. My co-workers call me Magneto. The fact that this arm band brings comparisons to comic book superheroes is surprisingly appropriate given its heroic super-powers.
