Tools and Hardware Reviews of Trademark Emergency Lanterns (Set of 3)Customer Review: Nice emergency lights Summary: 4 Stars
These lanterns are smaller than they look, but the light is surprisingly good. I've used them a couple of times when I've lost power, and they give enough light to help me do tasks around the house, as well as reading light. I have only used one of them, because it is enough for me. I have one by the bed, and the other two in my emergency kit. I am very glad I have them, as they give me a feeling of safety.
Customer Review: Nice to Have Summary: 5 Stars
Have these along with propane lantern. All in a box in the attic labled "Power Outage Stuff". Plus, the kids love them
Customer Review: Not Bad Summary: 4 Stars
Me and my boyfriend are outdoor lovers, we got this set to take with us when we go camping or fishing. We chose these because 1) awesome price and 2) they were small and more convent to pack around. Since receiving them they have both good and bad qualities. The fact they are small is great and they put off a lot of light! So they function great!! Cons are they are plastic, so if dropped on a rock I'm sure there is going to be some breakage, also doubtful that they are very waterproof. Our camping trip is coming up soon and likely to go fishing even sooner, so we test them out than. Also, when we received them Amazon has packaged them great, but the product box was a kind of old and the red lantern handle was not attached, but that was easy to pop on. However, the bottom is plastic and unscrews for putting in the batteries and this was cracked. We contact Amazon customer service and they were great, issued us a refund with no hassle!!
Customer Review: Perfect emergency lighting Summary: 5 Stars
We had 2 days with no power. I chose this item because it uses batteries. Rechargeable with my luck would need a recharge just when I need it the most and the price is right!
Customer Review: Possibly the worst-made lamps I've ever seen... Summary: 2 Stars
Pros:
- cheap
- functional
- disposable
Cons:
- incandescent bulb
- relatively short run-time
- incredibly bad build quality
- falls apart; not good for kids
These are possibly the worst-made lamps I've ever seen -- you probably couldn't even find these at the street market in Hong Kong. The biggest flaw is that the lamp's lid and handle attach to the base via compression only. If this had a simple twist-lock mechanism, it would have held up reasonably well.
All that being said, you get 3 functional lamps for a Hamilton, so you can't complain too much.
