I was a little skeptical about these shelves when I bought them but they've turned out really well. The metal is thicker than you would think so they look and feel very sturdy. I bought one of these to put a few books on because I live in a studio and my walls were bare, it holds 6-7 books and when people come over its a conversation point. The instructions say to screw it into a wall stud but since I don't have a stud finder, I just screwed it in a random spot. I have 4 hardcover and 2 paperbacks on it right now and its very secure. Overall I do like them. However, they don't hold nearly as much as they claim. Also, they don't hold large books at all. I put a lightweight textbook on it and it flexed way down. It wasn't from the weight, but the size. They look pretty cool once they are up though. I just wish they were as strong as they claim and could hold larger books.Customer Review: Great & Stylish

I really do like these shelves. I love to read and have acquire lots of books over the years. The latest books I read are series books and I like to show those off, so I bought two of them. Very easy to install, just screw the bracket to the wall and voila! I was reading another review and I agree, the four stars are for the price. Its a metal bracket and a screw in a box, so why so much for shipping? I was going to order more, but I don't want to pay almost $7 to get a simple bracket shipped to me. especially when I didn't pay that the first two times.
