Tools and Hardware Reviews of VCT - PLUG ADAPTER - CONVERTS GROUNDED USA PLUGS TO EUROPE PLUG-GERMAN SHUCKO PLUG (VP 11W)Customer Review: Didn't work in Ireland Summary: 4 Stars
The holes in Ireland for outlets are actually square, not round. Our hotel had recessed adapters for their outlets (luckily) and then we plugged these in to adapt our electronics. I wish I had known we'd need 2 plugs though.
Also-just a side note-Nintendo DS's won't charge through these.
Customer Review: Does what it is supposed to do, but build quality could have been a little better. Summary: 4 Stars
First, let me say that I would buy this product again b/c it is a great value and does what it is supposed to do. The only thing was that the prongs on the adapter I received were a bit loose and jiggled more than I would have liked. I know there should be some give, but it seemed like a little too much. However, it did work (I used this adapter in S. Korea) and it is nice that this model has the hole for the third ground prong.
Customer Review: Euro Plug Says a lot, be mindnful Summary: 3 Stars
The plugs seem fine when you look at them. on my recent trip to Rome, they did not work as expected. the outlets are smaller in diameter than what It thought. these plugs are thicker in diameter and would not enter the socket properly. I was prepared with older styles plugs since this was the 1ST time I used these. I now know that when in Italy, leave them behind!
Customer Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
This is by far the best adaptor plug I have tried. Best of all is the fit. It fits extremely well and will not relocate itself, like some cheaper adapter plugs, even though you plug in a heavy converter. It will work with grounded as well as non-grounded equipment and outlets. I Have not tried to plug in any British electrical equipment into it, so I wouldn't know about that.
Customer Review: Fits new appliances Summary: 2 Stars
At least this adapter fits the newer 120v appliances with one prong slightly larger than the other, however, the 240v prongs were the bigger ones and thus it was harder to find outlets in Europe to accomodate it. It also fell apart after only one use. Save your money and buy one in Europe!!
