Tools and Hardware Reviews of Venta VS207 Sonic Digital Cool and Warm Mist Ultrasonic HumidifierCustomer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
My wife and I both had sinus problems this winter until we got a couple of these units for our living area, and it's been like night and day. We feel better, no sinus problems, and have more energy. We keep them running 24x7.
The only problem is if we forget to fill the reservoir and the units run out of water overnight and the house gets dry, we wake up with sinus headaches. But that's hardly the humidifier's fault!
The units indeed register 30% when the humidity is below that. But we prefer the target humidity to be 35% or over, so that's not a problem for us.
I like them so much, I'm going to buy another one for my home office.
Customer Review: Great until it breaks Summary: 1 Stars
I had the humidifier for two years and it worked great until now when the mist volume is greatly reduced. Tried new filter and cleaned the oscillator and noticed that the oscillator disc coating is peeling away and needs to be replaced. The problem is that Venta Sonic is based in Germany and outsources the technical and warranty support to A&B distribution. I called and spoke to different reps and they were both useless. Venta Sonic does not have any replacement parts except for the filter and tank. If anything else breaks or needs replacement you are out of luck. Stay away from this company.
Customer Review: I finally found a great humidifier Summary: 5 Stars
I have purchased many humidifiers before this one and none of them worked properly. I bought this from BB&B last year and it's still running good. It's quiet and easy to program. When you first set the water tank down on the base you may have to wait a while before the unit fills with water and starts up.
Customer Review: I like it so far Summary: 4 Stars
This is my first humidifier. I bought it over a year ago after reading reviews on several different models. This is the second winter I've used it and it has worked well for me. It puts out plenty of vapor for my large bedroom, but I do have it about 3 feet from me for maximum benefit. It goes through about 3/4 of a tank each night as I set it on maximum output and continuous mode. I found that if I set it to a certain humidity level, when it reached that level, it would turn on and off all the time which was pretty annoying. When running in continuous mode, it was very quiet with some gurgling of the water every so often. The tank is pretty easy to fill up by turning it over, unscrewing the filter and filling the tank. I still wonder why they couldn't put the fill mechanism on the top though. That would be an improvement. So far, the reliability has been great. Hope it will keep running well for me.
Customer Review: Leaky tank and problematic humidistat Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased this unit from bed bath and beyond about two month ago. It used to work perfectly and then I started to notice there was a pool of water underneath it and then humidistat stopped working properly. The water tank seemed to be intact when the unit was not running. The water leak started when the humidifier took "seep" of water as air bubbles were produced. In addition, since the humidistat sensor's holes were in the bottom of the unit, the humidistat stopped to work properly once the pool of water started to affect the humidity in that close proximity. I emailed venta informing the problem two weeks ago and has not yet heard anything from them.
