Customer Review: A GOOD INVESTMENT

My wife and I have both the medium-sized Bionaire and the 1.8 gallon Vornado and are very happy with them both. I bought the smaller one first, to place in our bedroom in the hope that raised humidity would modify the lower leg rash I get in the winter because of dry inside air. It has helped, a great deal, but there were unexpected additional benefits: First, a very bothersome itchy eyelid condition I had been treating unsuccessfully for several weeks improved dramatically almost overnight. Second, my wife no longer has to put artificial tears in her eyes several times during the night for her dry eyes.
We put the Vornado (a much larger capacity humidifier) in our living/dining area, where it puts 2 or more gallons of water into the air on some days, without moisture being evident on the walls or windows. I just had no idea before how dry our air was, and my legs feel much better, with no rash.
Some of the negative reviews seem to me to be nit-picking, and others may indicate mishandling of the units. If you are reasonably careful in handling the water reservoirs and keep the filters reasonably clean, you should find either of these humidifiers to be good products.
