Customer Review: Awesome Disposal. Easy Install. Don't Hesitatate to Buy!

The disposal was very easy to install. I think it took me about 45 minutes start to finish. The disposal came pre-wired with an electical cord that plugs straight in and that saves time. I bought it after reading all the positive reviews and wanted to give this disposal my seal of approval. I fired it up and it is at least 1/4 the volume of an off the shelf disposal at Lowes or Home Depot. You would pay more and have to buy the electrical cord seperate at the home improvement stores so it was cheaper to go through Amazon.
I was very happy with the price and quality. I would also say that as a weekend project warior who installs something with direction at least every weekend, the directions were well written so I didn't have to do any guessing.
Buy it you will be happy you did.

When my handyman showed up to install this disposer he said wow, you got a commercial grade one. How much did THAT cost. When I told him around $100 he couldn't believe it! It's quiet and FAST. Also, I didn't realize when I orderded it that it came with a life-time IN-HOME warranty! I just couldn't be happier.
One thing I will say, you need to order the part that connects to the dishwasher. I didn't and it required a run to the home depot.

This disposer is good to go. One horsepower for $102- that's such a good price! Installation was about 45 minutes milking it...taking time and doing it slowly. You don't need a special installation part sold separately-everything else is included. I have personally connected it to the air swich, that is mounted into my sink. The hole for the air switch (standard size) is the same as the hole for the sink foucet-so it looks awesome. The disposer is relatively quiet and has a solid feel to it. The power cable is already connected so you would need a receptacle under your sink ( it should be GFCI), or you can just cut the plug and hot wire it your existing wires/box. I would definitively buy it again if I had to.Customer Review: Awesome product; but it is made in China

This product is very well built and the installation instructions are clear and easy to follow. I replaced an ICE unit, that was made in USA, but had no parts availability (I prefer to repair to component level). So, I was excited to buy the Waste King ... it is a great product but you will not be supporting American workers (which is very important to me).Customer Review: BEST PRICE I'VE FOUND!

I checked a lot of places for a Waste King L-8000 and this was the best price, by far. In deciding which disposal to buy (to replace one during a remodel), I asked why the 'big box' stores only seem to carry InSinkerator. Apparently many of them sold out to In-Sink because it is a cheaper brand that most contractors will buy. This Waste King was rated far better, AND, at this price, it is a no-brainer! Just installed it this past week and love it by the way!
