This dispsosal is very powerful. Although it is not quite so very quiet as some reviews led us to believe it would be, it is still worth the money because it grinds up so thoroughly and quickly that it doesn't run long anyway. This Waste KIng is better than our old Insinkerator when it worked well. We are very satisfied.Customer Review: Better than the 8000, but worth the price difference?

I've installed and used both this and the Legend 8000, and think this unit is better: Quieter and with a bigger throat which is my only major complaint with the 8000. Whether it's worth the extra $ I guess depends on your priorities...Customer Review: Cantex Trading sent me a deffective Waste King L-8000

The first disposal came from Cantex Trading. It was missing parts & was deffective. I found this out only after hiring an electrician. I contacted Waste King directly in Anaheim,CA. They sent out a replacement. I installed it and it works like a champ! The manufacturer provided excellent service. If you order one, make sure it shipped from Anaheim, CA, beware of Cantex. The product is great & I would recommend it. The 1 star rating is because Cantex sent what appeared to be a used, defective unit. That wasted lots of my time and cost extra money.

This disposer comes with every thing you need to connect it to a sink. It contains an "EZ Mount System", and you can ignore the 3-bolt mounting comments in the Amazon description. There is no need to purchase any adapters. If your old food disposer had an "3-Bolt Mount System", simply remove such before installing this disposer. If you have a stainless steel sink, you do not even need plumber's putty. A little longer than other disposers, but not any heavier.Customer Review: Consumerreports Rate #1

I've owned this for a week now and everything works great. Had a 10 year old disposer and this is quiter. Put whole chicken parts ate it up. It had everything to replace the old one and the lifetime warrenty is great too.
