Customer Review: Absolutely disgusting

This is one of those products that looks good in the package, but you know you've been had once you get it out. The adjustable arm looks like metal, but is really very cheap plastic with a chrome look.
(By the way, why do manufacturers insist on using this impenetrable plastic packaging? I'm not sure what sort of implement a customer is supposed to use to open them, but even with a sturdy pair of scissors or a utility knife, I find it impossible to open without significant cursing. This is not the start of a positive customer experience.)
I bought this because the connection to the threaded rod turns separately from the rest of the unit, to allow easier adjustment. Other showerheads with adjustable arms have one-piece construction and installed at an awkward angle when tightened onto the threaded rod in my shower. Although the threaded nut in this unit turned separately and could be made to set up parallel to the floor, the whole thing was so flimsy that I was afraid to move it too much for fear of breaking it. I can't imagine it lasting for more than a few weeks in a typical bathroom.
A more basic problem was that it never installed securely. By definition water is supposed to come out of a showerhead. In this case, water came out several other places. Admittedly, I did not try very hard to fix the leaks. I was so disgusted with this purchase, I put it back in what was left of the packaging and returned it.
