Tools and Hardware Reviews of Waterpik RainFall Showerhead with Adjustable Arm, Chrome #JP-130Customer Review: Great Shower Product, I actually look forward to showers now! Summary: 5 Stars
What can I say about this rain shower product?! Great real "rain"
-feel shower. I analyze a lot when purchasing and after a thorough research for a good three hours on Amazon and other sites (Yeah, I know: it was late and had nothing else to do), I chose this one. The conclusion: Not necessarily are the more expensive ones in the $100 range better, but can be worse sometimes but a good brand name.
I love this Waterpik, it's well made with mostly metal parts and functions perfectly: The only complaint if I were to have one is to have horizontal adjustment. It obviously has vertical adjustment and although it's perfectly centered in my shower right now, a little horizontal adjustment would be nice. I was also seeking a non-rubber or metal "spout" area, but I believe the rubber-type actually helps it drip less after cut-off I'm noticing. Overall, great price, great value, and great functionality.
Customer Review: Great quality and action for the money. Summary: 5 Stars
I live in the southwest US, where the last remnants of the Colorado river's water is piped into our homes before it sludges its way into Mexico. I'm sure there's harder municipal water out there somewhere, but I've never seen it.
The showerhead installed *very* easily, and stays exactly where I put it - I don't think the head is too heavy for the leverage - even full of water. I'm pretty sure the pipes are brass and the head is chrome-plated plastic, but it looks terrific. It's been in use by three people a day for over a month and doesn't show any hard water build up. (I'm sure it will someday, and I doubt it will clean up very well, but hey, the price is right.)
Oh, and my water pressure's right at 80 PSI, so I had to unscrew the 5" black sprayer disc on the bottom from the rest of the (chrome) head and remove the restrictor (brown plastic, I think) to get a decent flow. There's a screen (white plastic, I think) on the top which didn't affect the flow, so I left that in - hey, maybe that helps the nozzles not get hard-water clogged, and taking the (lower) brown restrictor thingee out helps them get cleared (by the force of the water coming out stronger every time).
Regardless, it's clearly worth the $25.
Customer Review: Great! Summary: 5 Stars
This thing is awesome. I've used other similar shower heads and they tend not to have much pressure behind the spray. This one is just right and the arms are easily adjustable for people of different height. I've had this for a few months now and the arm has remain in pretty much the same shape as the day I bought it (it hasn't loosen up and let the head slide down). Such a fantastic unit for the price I have recommended it to family members. Only thing I wish it has was different settings for the spray (like many convention shower heads do) but you know what you're buying.
Customer Review: Hard to beat showerhead experience! Summary: 5 Stars
I had previously tried Waterpik's other rain fall like showerhead the WaterPik CF-201. It was horrible, the arm wouldn't hold its place and the one I recieved had this horrible leaking problem that was probably due to its largely plastic construction.
With low expectations of the Waterpik brand, I stumbled upon this gem. The JP-130 looked a lot sturdier than their other model. Upon recieving it, my initial impressions were true, fantastic! The chromed metal gave it a distinguishably elegant look that no plastic showerhead can give. The swing arm actually, when adjusted properly actually stays where you want it! The spray pattern is a very soothing gentle stream. It doesn't pack a lot of pressurized punch like some other heads do. But I wasn't looking for that.
My only gripes if I had to point out any would be the need for possible a longer swing arm. The 9" arm is more than suitable for most people. But I'm 6'1" and it'd be nice to have a little more range. I definitely couldn't imagine having to deal with a shorter swing arm. Next, it's not really a problem, but I hope Waterpik eventually makes a newer model with an even wider head. The 60 nozzles do a pretty good job of covering my entire body if I stand still, but moving around a little puts parts of my body out of the stream. An extra 1" or 2" would be nice, an extra 3-4" in diameter would be the superb! Regardless of the other reviews, I didn't find adjusting the knobs as hard as other reviewers made it out to be, maybe it's just me? After reading what others said, I expected to give each knob my "death grip," but they didn't need it.
Overall, you simply can't beat this showerhead for money. I'm sure it's even better than more expensive showerheads. For something that people use multiple times a day, 7 days a week, it's money well spent!!!
Customer Review: I would rate this 6 stars if I could Summary: 5 Stars
Here's how I would get my 6 star rating:
* Minus two stars because (as mentioned in other reviews) the adjuster knobs must be turned very tight to support the weight of the shower head
* Minus two stars because the 9" arm should be a few inches longer
* Plus ten stars for the unbelievable downpour effect
For a total of 6 stars.
Seriously, if you don't have one of these things, get it immediately. It takes normal water pressure and turns it into a huge, drenching downpour. However they do it, it's genius - even fancy hotel shower heads don't compare.
