Strangely, I'm pretty sure there were previous reviews for this switch which have disappeared. Never the less, this thing is not as crappy as the cheaper switches are and actually worked great for my application. It would be great if we never found ourselves in the position to have to read this review, let alone be shopping for this item. Shalom.

Universal Fan and Light Wall Control Westinghouse Ceiling Fan Accessory PartEnjoy the convenience of adjusting your ceiling fan speed and lighting level without ever having to reach for a pull chain. This Westinghouse Lighting 7787300 Wireless Ceiling Fan and Light Wall Control replaces a toggle switch and can be used with most ceiling fan brands. It features a full-range light dimmer, operates four fan speeds (high/medium-high/medium/low), and can turn any three-speed fan into a four-speed fan.

Control Fan Speed and Light Level Without Reaching for a Pull ChainWith the Westinghouse Lighting 7787300 Ceiling Fan Wall Control, you'll never again have to reach for a pull chain to adjust your fan speed or light level. This device replaces a toggle switch, so you can operate your fan from a convenient sliding switch on your wall. You can also dim your lights using the full-range sliding dimmer switch on the wall plate.
Turn any Three-Speed Fan into a Four-Speed Fan
The 7787300 allows you to turn any three-speed fan into a four-speed fan. It operates four speeds--high, medium-high, medium, and low--so you can the right amount of airflow and maximize your comfort.
Wall Control Installs Easily
The 120-volt/60-hertz wall control features three-wire installation for use in a standard junction box. UL- and CUL-listed, the 778300 can handle a fan maximum of 1-1/4 amps and a lighting fixture maximum of 300 watts. A wall plate is included for installation.
