This fan is easy to install and has a very appealing look for the price, however, at low fan speeds it hums quite readily. The reason for this humming comes from the fact that Westinghouse designed it with only two capacitors instead of the standard three. This fan looks good and was easy to install. However, I was disappointed to learn that the light kit does not use standard size bulbs. They are the small size that require you to use the "ornamental" bulbs, which are more expensive and limit your choices.Customer Review: Junk

I have installed many ceiling fans and this is the poorest quality fans I have dealt with. The product you get is not the same as avertised. The bulbs are not standard and the light kits are very cheaply made. I had to replace the light kits on both the fans I ordered. I didn't even try return as I did not want to take the fans down and ship them back just to replace the light kits. I would not recommend buying this fan. Quality is not comparable to other fans I have installed in this price range.Customer Review: Number 1 choice for me

We've had this fan for almost three years now and it still works great. It's a nice design and was perfect for our breakast nook. We also have it hooked up to a dimmer and it works great that way too. Installation was a breeze (no pun!), especially if you have some basic electrical skills, and you don't even need another person to help you install it because this one, like most of the fans these days, has a bracket that "holds" the fan in place while you make your electrical connections.
