I purchased three of these fans for my kid's rooms in our new home. I replaced the standard nickel finish lights that came with the house. These fans look great. They provide more than enough air for all of the rooms (and one is rather large). As far as the bulbs are concerned, the small bulbs work fine. I use 40 watt not 60. Three 40 watt bulbs provides 120 watts of light which is more than enough. My only complaint is that the white side of the blades look funky so I used the wood side in all the rooms. These fans may not be the best but to get three for under $140...you just can't beat that!Customer Review: Innacurate description

I ordered one and when it arrived, the lights were candelabra base. Customer service had another shipped to me and it was the same. Do not buy this if you want standard base bulbs. I asked customer service to have the description fixed and they said they couldn't, but they did confirm that none of the fans came with standard base bulbs.Customer Review: Jim B

It is a bit noisy. Even with a bit of modification, it still hums. The light kit on mine was standard.
