I purchased Whirlpool filters (item 4396508) as shown in the photo and described in the description. I received generic Water Sentinel filters. Ever wonder what would happen if you didn't replace these filters?
After two years the seals on my filter went bad and I had a major water leak under the refrigerator onto my hardwood floors. No warning, just a flood.
Bad product, bad design. Whirlpool or Kitchen Aid? Not for me. Never again.

Product arrived as seen on Amazon. As usual, Amazon delivered what was shown for the price shown. No complaints and the filter fit perfectly on the bottom left of the refrigerator. Make sure to drain about 2 gallons of water intially after installed.
