My front load washer had become a smelly, moldy mess. I was spending about 20 minutes after each load spraying and wiping down the rubber seal around the door. There had to be a better way. I tried Affresh at the suggestion of an appliance store representative. So, I've found that the washer smells better, but I'm not completely convinced that the product is truly cleaning/stopping the mold. It may just be a deoderizer. But, having said that, it is a very good deoderizer. I used 3 tablets back to back at first, and now I just throw one in every 3 weeks or so. I still must absolutely keep the door propped open when the machine is not in use, but it smells better. I'm going to keep watching for mold, but so far, so good.Customer Review: Best Little Cleaner in Town.

I have had a problem with my HE washer and a horrible odor coming from it for awhile. I have tried everything possible to get rid of it. I saw this on Amazon and thought, will give it try, it may work and it may not.
Well, first time I had to run my clothes washer through twice each time using one of the tablets and it smelled amazing after the second time. Three hours afterwards it still smelled clean. Two days later, it still smells wonderful. I highly recommend this product if you are having that persistant odor in your HE washer.

Doesn't work though we used as directed the product actually made the washer and the clothes smell worse. We're going to order some "smellywasher.com" from Amazon and keep you posted. Meanwhile we'll try 1/2 cup Borax directly on some towels as one reviewer suggested and also use HE ERA detergent as per another post. 2 stars instead of 1 because these may work if used when washer is new and 3 tablets on a monthly basis thereafter.
