I asked for these for Christmas and was pleased when they arrived in the mail. I thought I'd be able to stop buying dryer sheets (Bounce). As others have said these are very loud and all of my clothes are VERY statically charged and clingy. Complete waste of money. At least we are only out $10. Despite what one reviewer said, I have ONLY used them on freshly washed clothes, not clothes that have been sitting for hours. Still does not work, does not prevent static. Rather these cause static in your clothes and they get stuck in shirt sleeves, sheets, pant legs, etc. I gave these a good two month try. I bought a pair of these dryer balls and used them to dry my clothes and they didn't help at all. All the claims the advertisers made were completely wrong! They don't reduce drying time, they don't soften the fabric, they don't reduce static electricity, and they don't eliminate the need for fabric softener even though the manufacturers claim that they do. And if the misleading advertising isn't bad enough, the balls themselves are VERY loud when they roll around in the drying machine. I had to leave the house to get away from the noise pollution! The whole time the clothes are drying, all you hear is BANG...BANG...BANG...BANG...BANG...BANG...for the entire 45 minutes it takes to dry the clothes! Its enough to drive you crazy if you listen to it long enough. So I give this product a one out of five rating, but it really isn't even worth that one star. They don't do what they're supposed to, they don't serve any useful purpose, all they do is make noise. They're nothing more than a nuisance, and if you pay good money for this piece of cra....p product, than you truely are a su....cker!Customer Review: Love This Item!

I had all ready purchased a set of "Dryer Balls" for myself and loved them so much that I purchased another set for my friend. No more worrying about putting fabric softener in the washer or a drying sheet in the dryer. These work amazingly well and you don't have that yucky fabric softener residue in your clothes. When you consider what you will pay for fabric softener over a few months you can easily see what a bargain this item is. And it lasts for years! Only time I have found that they do not work well is for super large items like sheets and blankets. Tend to get tangled up and not "bounce" around and do their thing. Like the girl with the little curl, when they work, they really really work. However I got a bad batch and upon opening the dryer after the first load, the balls had fallen to pieces, literally. Hundreds of pieces. However, I tried another set and they are working great. Drying time is noticeably faster and I'm sure the balls end up being close to free. But I love what they do to the clothes when they hold together.Customer Review: Love these!

They definitely reduce (may not always completely eliminate) static and reduce wrinkles. The salesman recommend we use four balls for towels and sheets; and I do. I haven't bought fabric softener in nearly a year.
