These are not stand-alone storage containers, nor are they advertised as such. They are perfect to use in the hanging sweater storage bag or to use as a drawer on a shelf, which is what I am doing with them. (Although I do own the hanging sweater storage bag I have yet to find a place to hang it!). These canvas "drawers" need some outside support which a shelf-unit or storage bag provides. I like them because they are deep enough to hold about 4 sweaters or 5 pair of jeans & that's about all I want to dig thru to find what I want to wear! The only thing I would have requested is a way to attach a label on the front of the box so I know what's inside w/o pulling it out. But I can create my own so I am happy.Customer Review: perfect for the price

I got 10 of these drawers/baskets to store toys in on a bookshelf. They fit perfectly on Pottery Barn's Cameron bookshelf and they don't scratch the finish of the bookshelf like regular baskets do (as the kids constantly pull the baskets out). For the price, these were a great choice for me!
