The product is too flimsy. After placing the iron's cord on the cord minder, it bends over 180 degrees. It is not built strong enough to support the iron cord. This product is a total waste of time. Unfortunately for the return policy, after deducting shipping (which was twice the cost of the item), the return shipping and a 20 percent restocking fee I would get no money back. I bought this cord minder at another site because it didn't have the manufacturer in the description. I would have never purchased it had I known it was the Whitney brand. I didn't mind the fact that it bent over immediately when I put on the cord, I thought I could get past that problem. But, then the small metal strap that keeps the pole erect bent just like a piece of aluminum foil. I promise you that this piece of garbage will not work for anyone. The person giving it a 5 rating must be from the maker "Whitney," because it is flimsy garbage!!!Customer Review: Piece of junk

I searched high and low for a cord minder and was happy to find one. I do find that the vertical pole falls down from time to time because the lip that is supposed to hold it in place is lightweight metal. I just upright the pole again and press the lip back down. For the convenience of having the cord minder and the price, I'm glad I made the purchase. Actually, I purchased 2 of them and am happy that I did.Customer Review: Terrible product

After trying repeatedly (and failing) to attach it to my ironing board, it failed to stay upright and then fell apart. A terrible product. Thanks for letting me return it.
