Tools and Hardware Reviews of Yard Butler RD-2 30-Inch Roto Digger

Customer Review: Forget Clay
Summary: 1 Stars

I live in a cayon that's 90% clay. The first time I used it I almost broke my wrists. Now, it just slides around along the surface of the dirt, making little worm holes. Maybe if I weighed over 130 and had looser soil, it would work. Then I could do it alone without crying.

Customer Review: GREAT BUY - VERY FAST SHIPPING
Summary: 4 Stars

I HAVE NOT USED THIS PRODUCT YET, BUT IT I HAVE NO DOUBTS FROM THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE ROTO DIGGER IT WILL DO THE JOB. I HAVE HAD OTHER DIGGER'S AND THE QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP PALED IN COMPARISON. THE PRICE, AND I DID CHECK OTHER PRICES, QUALITY, AND OPIONIONS, WAS THE BEST AND I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE FAST SHIPPING. I ALSO PURCHASED A 24 INCH DIGGER FROM THIS SELLER.

Customer Review: Good for Small Plantings with the Right Drill
Summary: 4 Stars

The Roto Digger made nice deep holes in "perfect" conditions: a nice loamy soil which was slightly damp. Dry soil just crumbled into the hole and hard soil couldn't be penetrated. A key component with this auger is the drill- I recommend a strong, corded drill, not a battery operated drill. My 18.2v Craftsman drill batteries drained very quickly when the load was significant, such as the case with hard, dry soil.

This device is great for smaller plantings and seems durable enough that I'll be able to use it for years to come.

Customer Review: Great tool
Summary: 5 Stars

It is so much better than having to dig manually. Just gotta designate a drill since it gets pretty muddy.

Customer Review: Great, for the price
Summary: 4 Stars

For the price, this soil auger cannot be beat. I was suprised at how well it worked. One thing you don't want to do is use this auger with a drill which has a lot of torque, as this will bend the shaft at the drill's connection, sending it wobbling all over the place.
