Tools and Hardware Reviews of Yard Butler RD-2 30-Inch Roto DiggerCustomer Review: Plant a flat in 15 minutes or less Summary: 5 Stars
I love this thing. Without bending over I can make holes in seconds even in hard packed dirt, then just plug in the little plants and you're done. I have lots of tree roots to contend with and with this tool, I know right away if the spot I've picked is suitable or if a large root lurks below the surface and I should move my hole a couple of inches. The hole this unit makes is ideal for the small plants in flat trays--and of course, bulbs. For larger sized plants, I can make several holes right together or just wiggle the auger to enlarge the cavity and so far have been able to make holes for plants in pots up to 3" pretty easily. I wish I'd discovered this thing years ago. It makes spring planting soooo much easier.
Customer Review: Planter augur Summary: 5 Stars
I used this to dig the holes for the big plant food sticks, using my rechargable drill. Did a fantastic job, though did quick work on the charged battery (digging in Florida's floratam grass). Nice to not have to bend over and dig the holes by hand. Packaging could have been better, as the shaft went through the box, and got a little bent, which makes it really wobbly. Still a great drill for my purposes.

DRILLS A HOLE UP TO A FOOT DEEP AT THE BEACH TO SET UMBRELLAS. Sand to hard after a foot deep.

This goes with the auger I ordered in place of the one I never received from awesome auger. It is a much sturdier item.
Customer Review: Terrific back-saving tool every gardener should own Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the Yard Butler 30-inch roto digger to aerate my flower beds. I ended up using it for that and also to plant flowers/bulbs and to install fence posts. It has many uses and is long enough so that you don't have to break your back bending over all day long. It digs great post holes! Sometimes, if you hit a root, it slips in the drill chuck. I think that's more a function of my cheapy drill than the roto digger. I love this product.
