Customer Review: Another "looks good on a picture, but useless" purchase

Two huge drawbacks that make me very unhappy with this purchase:
1. Never mind the advertised width of the item: the towel bar itself is a bit less than 15". My bath towels are 24", so you get the idea.
2. The width of the hangers is 2". Have you ever seen a 2" door in the bathroom? All doors in my house are 1.5", except solid oak front door, heavy as a metal door - it's 1 3/4". I have no idea for which country this thing is made, but it was not the USA. You have to be a handyman to make this work for your bathroom, except you cannot bend the hanger brackets: the chrome coating will chip off.
There are other problems: the chrome coating was chipped off on arrival, which tells me that this piece of ... will look rusty in about 6 months. The problem is that the shipping is so high, that by the time you return the item, you've wasted the money equal to its price.
