Customer Review: Works but Too Pricey

This system filters the water just fine. The problem is the filters do not last too long- need a new one within two weeks of use for one ( sometimes two ) person. This adds up to too much money spent when comparing to bottled water or other filters. Also the meter stops working before too long, no matter how well you take care of it, and costs over $23 to replace. I am looking for a different system.

Received these in a few short days. I could not tell the difference from ones I would purchase at the store except that they were $10.00 cheaper.

These filters had to be returned, because when I tested them with the Zero Water tester that I already owned, they each tested well into the twenties. Those familiar with Zero Water will know that they actually instruct you to change your filter when it reads "06". I returned them, and, hopefully, the refund will appear on my next credit card statement.

I then ordered new filters from another online store, and they tested at "000". Did the first filters come out of the factory defective? Were they used?

Advice: If you have the tester, use it when you receive your new filters.

We have been using the ZeroWater system for quite awhile now. The water tastes great for a short time and then tastes terrible very fast. We have replaced the filters several times with no problems. We generally get the filters from Home Depot or directly from ZeroWater. We found these through Amazon for a few dollars cheaper with no shipping and decided to order them. I replaced my filters today and upon opening the new filters that were shipped to me I found that the styrofoam containers they come in were not sealed at all. When I took out the filters they did not have the plastic seal over the top that protects them from contamination. The filters did not look bad or have an odor to them but they definately did not look right. Very disappointed. Be careful when ordering anything.
