I have an outlet behind my bed that is controlled by a light switch. I wanted to use a lamp, but my headboard was crushing the cord. I have a Belkin surge with this type of plug behind my entertainment center and love it. I use these behind my bed and it solved the plug problem. They work great, and if you need a little extension, they double for that. They are great if you have a large adapter that you don;t want taking up too much space on an outlet. I did not order, but did receive a sack of 5 Ziotek ZT1212518 Power Strip Liberator Plus with Pass Through, 5-Pack which are anything but flat. The Bag has listed in three different places what it is, with clear descriptions. Yet someone placed a barcode sticker for the Ziotek ZT1212590 Power Strip Liberator Flat 18-Inch, 5-Pack over the barcode on said bag. I realize that accidents happen, but wake up folks even if you did not read the bag, the bag was clear you could see that what you were shipping was wrong. Now I will hang on to these and use them for something else as they are a good product. But when I reorder, it will be with someone else.Customer Review: Solved my problem, but wish they also sold them in single-packs.

This cable is 16 AWG, so you need to make sure it is adequate for your needs. Only extend something that is 16 AWG or higher number. The higher the number, the thinner the wire. Do not extend anything 14 AWG or lower number, or you risk a fire.
This item is of high quality and it solved my problem. I bought a microwave oven that came with a straight power plug. The power outlet is directly behind the oven and there is limited space. I needed this flat plug to save me an inch of space.
I wish they sold it in single packs, since I only needed one. Now I am out of $18.00 and have four spares to store.
