I was deciding between the standard circuit finder and the circuit finder pro, which is about $70 more. I opted for the more expensive one, and I have absolutely no regrets. The pro version provides you with far more versatility. Not only can you detect circuits for devices plugged into outlets, but essentially any other electrical items (light sockets, exposed wires), by using the included adapters.
It has allowed me to identify circuits on the very first attempt, by myself, without having to trek from the electrical panel in the basement to any of the other floors in the house. Just a great investment.

59353 - CF12 Pro Circuit Breaker Kit A complete circuit- finding tool kit for locating circuit breakers in residential, commercial, and industrial environments, the CF12 Pro extends the flexibility of the CF12 by expanding its working range up to 277 volts and by adding accessories that can connect to any type of finished or unfinished circuit, including electrical leads, bare wire and standard wall sockets. The CF12 Pro and its accessories come in a lightweight, jobsite-tough case that protects the tool and eliminates the potential for lost parts. The kit includes transmitter, receiver, clips, light socket adapter, blades, and plug adapter connectors to let you plug the transmitter into the circuit you're planning to work on. Scan the receiver over the switches in the breaker box. When the green LED glows and the buzzer sounds, you have found the circuit breaker connected to the transmitter. You will be confident the correct circuit is found so power will not be lost to your computer, clocks, or freezer.
