Tools and Hardware Reviews of Zojila 'Rohan' Dish Rack Drainer Utensil holder and Drain board, Stainless Steel Self DrainingCustomer Review: Nice rack Summary: 5 Stars
We had a wood rack that finally got to the point where it was 1) falling apart and 2) getting a bit nasty in general. I bought an inexpensive stainless one from BB&B, but it wasn't large enough and had a laboratory experiment going on in the drip pan. Normally I wouldn't drop $80 on a dish rack, but I had an Amazon gift card and nothing better to spend it on so I figured what the heck. I must say, it's plenty large enough for a family of four and I do like the self-draining feature. I haven't had any issues with utensils falling out of their holder. No issues at all, although I'm sure the initial cost will make some hesitate. However, it looks like it'll last a very long time. I'm quite happy with the purchase.
Customer Review: Nice rack Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, this is a very nice dish rack. We particularly like the style and how it drains into the sink. Durability appears to be good although there are some scratches on the drain board (arrived that way) that have rusted slightly. As others have mentioned, the utensil rack is a cheap afterthought (slides around too easily, grabs forks and knives). Also would prefer that the legs were shorter or could be easily modified.
Customer Review: Overall great but Utensil Holder poor Summary: 4 Stars
We've used this for a few weeks now and I generally agree with those reviewers here who complimented the rack in general, but are sort of amazed at how poorly designed the utensil holder is. I too will probably replace it with the old one from our hardware store version.
But it does hold the plates well, drains well and looks good. It's a little smaller than most of the other cheap racks we've had - it's good in that it doesn't dominate, but we can barely put a family of 3's dinner dishes in there.
One other minor issue is that the front of the rack is fairly open and it does slope downwards (to drain), so that smaller glasses and cups fall out into the sink. This could be fixed by a simple bar or two on that side - I may add some stainless mesh there.
And yes, it seems overpriced, but as others have pointed out, it seems like the best option out there, if you replace the utensil holder.
Customer Review: Perfect! Summary: 5 Stars
Love it! Small format but holds just enough. Rack drains well into sink, no standing water. Looks appropriate in my contemporary kitchen.
Customer Review: Pleased with one reservation Summary: 4 Stars
I am generally very pleased with this dish rack. It holds a lot of dishes and the open area is good for glasses and bowls. I can pile some pots and pans on top as well. It is attractive on the counter and the draining feature works well. As others have said, the cutlery holder is fairly useless and I rather resent spending $81.00 (total includes shipping) for an item that does not do the entire job. I saved my old silverware holder and that is what I am using. I see on the Zojila site that they are redesigning the cutlery holder and it will be available as an accessory. It would be nice if they offered this item at a discount to people who ordered this rack previously. But, they get my respect for hearing the complaints of their customers and making improvements. All in all, I am still pleased to have this piece and I expect it to last a long time which will be worth the investment. But, if you are not in a hurry, wait for the new cutlery holder design. If necessary, I will buy the same unit again. It is better than others I looked at.
