Tools and Hardware Reviews of dbest 00-011 Quik Cart Two-Wheeled Collapsible Handcart with Lid

Customer Review: Don't Buy This Piece Of Junk!
Summary: 1 Stars

I recently bought the dbest Quik Cart. It broke after my third use. The entire front panel cracked. I'm out $30!

The Quik Cart is not only ugly, but unwieldy, hard to handle and clumsy. There are other wheeled carts and shopping bags around that are a much better product.

I hope my review is informative to potential buyers of the shoddy quality of this product.

Customer Review: Far from perfect
Summary: 3 Stars

I like this cart. I like it a lot. It is the perfect fit for someone, like myself, who lives in an apartment, to cart schtuff from car to apartment. Ideally, it carries two paper bags perfectly but with finagling, it can carry far more than that. I do not know the maximum number of pounds that I have carted about with this cart but I have been able to pile high the bags and boxes.

Additional pros are that the cart is very light weight and that it folds flat for easy storage, and it's just plain handy to have around.

Unfortunately, it does have one huge con: the handle is unreliable. I had my first cart for about 3 months before the handle refused to retract. With judicious pops from a heavy screwdriver (my weapon of choice) the handle once again did it's thang. Unfortunately, I was forced to apply thunks with increasing frequency through the remaining 4 months of that cart's life. Finally the handle flat refused to open up despite being knocked upon.

So I bought a new cart. Yes, even with its funky handle. It is still a fabulous tool to have. I use it nearly every single day. When I received the new cart, the UPS store owner was very interested in it until I told him that supposedly the lid would hold 200 pounds. He's a little guy and he just laughed and said that there way no way that he would even be tempted to test that theory out. I wouldn't either but the lid does make it easier for stacking boxes for hauling. Yes, I will buy another when/if this cart breaks down and will do so until a better choice comes along.

May 16, 2009:

Well, the second cart had a much shorter lifespan than the first. A "pin" fell out of one of the joints and there is no fixing it. The handle on the second cart was also a bit irritating as it would collapse mid cart-along.

I am leaving my current rating of 3 stars for now. I am, however, looking for a new cart and will not be giving this one a third try.

Customer Review: Fell apart after only 10 uses
Summary: 1 Stars

Poorly constructed; plastic broke off or bent after only 10 uses; metal handbar wouldn't go up or down easily after 3rd use out when cart tipped over on a sidewalk.

Customer Review: Garbage!
Summary: 1 Stars

Used it twice and it fell completely (and I do mean COMPLETELY) apart. TOTAL waste of money!

Customer Review: Go Cart!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Dbest Quik Cart with Lid is a nifty carry all. I wanted mine for hauling food to my bait pile. Having received it I can see I will also be able to use it to haul various items in the back of my truck, use it for fishing, or for larger tools. It's a good match for my DEWALT Heavy Duty Ballistic Nylon Tool Bag. The fact that you can use it as a seat is a nice bonus. The telescoping handle seems like it could easily handle hauling 80 pounds. Although I'd be pretty careful hauling the cart over rough ground. Mine came intact with no damage. I'm satisfied! ~ The Boss
