The Roomba 560 is an amazing machine that has been keeping our floors clean and dust free for the past month. As long as we make the floor and base boards accessible, the Roomba does the rest.
We have 2 little dogs that have gotten used to the roomba moving through the house. They really don't mess with i they just stay out of its way.
Emptying and cleaning the machine is pretty simple. Hair and dust do get caught up in the brushes and front wheel especially the first couple times we ran it around the house, but once the dust bunnies are gone I have found it to be smooth sailing.
I would recommend this machine to anyone who does not have the time to vacuum.

My fiancee and I just got our roomba the other week and so far we are loving it. We live in nyc and have a 1 bedroom apartment and it does a great job of cleaning the dirt and dust our of the apartment.
It is really fun to watch in action and it so far has made my life a good bit easier since i dont have to worry about vacuuming once a week. I set it to clean every few days and it runs while I'm at work.
I wish the collection bin was a little larger but all in all it isnt bad.

This unit rolls smoothly on and off carpet, has a lower clearance than previous models, picks up dirt even after the floor had been swept and mopped by people. It has overhang detection so it doesn't fall off stairs.
This technology just keeps getting better and it is so worth the money. Better than a maid that I'd have to schedule, let into the house or worry about theft. We haven't reached the Jetsons yet, but iRobot is taking us closer. I love this machine!

I purchased the irobot roomba 560, this past December for myself. I must say, this is the best vacuum I have ever owned. My conventional vacuum just will not pick up dog hair. The roomba keeps my carpet free of pet hair. I program it to start cleaning in the evening and it takes care of the carpet and docks itself upon completion. I have also used the roomba on the cement basement floor. It keeps the basement free of dust and dirt that gets tracked in from outside traffic. I would definitely recommend this roomba to anyone who does not have time for frequent vacuuming or just doesnt like to vacuum. either way, it is well worth every penny that i spent.

I have yet to find out how people can rate this product poorly. I have had a Roomba now for three months and just bought my second. My first has been great and vacuumed all my rooms while I'm out. I come back and it's parked on the charger ready for its next scheduled job. This is great. I can literally see the tracks it's made and I know how much dirt and dust it picks up because every time I empty the bin, it's fairly full.
Now I have a new carpet, so I have to clean the bin out after every run, and, I need to clean the brush and roller of the new carpet fuzz for now. But it's been getting less and less and my carpet is looking clean and fluffy at all times. Even the hallway which has the most traffic maintains a nice plush, almost new look.
This latest one with the scheduler built in is just the right product for me to give as a wedding gift. This beats out any of the other gifts I could have given as this will greatly reduce household chores for a new mom.
For anyone who wants to keep up on the dirt and keep a clean house, I wholeheartedly recommend this product.
