I had high hopes for this trashcan. Unfortunately, due to a design flaw, the sides of the trash bag get sliced open when you try and remove it out of the trashcan. There doesn't seem to be anyway to prevent this from happening.Customer Review: automatic trash can

The lid makes a loud noise which is irritating when it opens and closes.
The trash bags tear when being taken out of the can. They catch on the pokey bits inside the lid of the can.
If i had the choice again, i would not buy this item.
