Tools and Hardware Reviews of simplehuman KT1025 System Stainless-Steel Dish Rack

Customer Review: Attractive, unique and practical dish rack
Summary: 5 Stars

We just recently did a kitchen upgrade, and I was looking for something besides the worn out Rubbermaid dish holder. Browsing the internet, I came upon this Simplehuman rack. The measurements seemed right. It arrived a short time later and it looks great on our new granite countertop. One of the practical aspects is that you can rearrange the components to suit your needs. Another nice feature is that you can set the base tray to tilt by moving two of the corners to lift one side to drain more efficiently. This works whether it faces horizonally or vertically against the sink. The only fault that we have is that the base seems to slide easily against the granite countertop if it gets wet. Other than this, we are very happy with this dish drainer.

Customer Review: Awesome Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I really like this special dish drainer yeah it is expensive but it IS worth it!!! i like the knife block having somewhere safe to put knives. i really like the tilt feature it helps prevent water from sitting in the tray and rusting the rack i am impressed that it does get all the water out. the dish drainer is easy to clean. the dish drainer is pleasant to look at. the dish drainer doesn't take too much space on your counter but does have a lot of room for your dishes. we have been though A Lot of dish drainers and by far this is the best dish drainer we have had.

Customer Review: Best Dish Rack Ever

I am pleased with this purchase. This is the best dish rack and it worth the money. I highly recommend it.

Customer Review: Best Dishrack on the market!
Summary: 5 Stars

Hi there!

OK, this was the first time i ever spent so much on a dishrack. I have to admit that i was very skeptical but after receiving it and using it, i am convinced that it was money well spent. Its truly a very smartly designed product that is worth its pricey tag. It's tilted upwards in the back so it wont allow water to accumulate which leads to germs & mold and it accomodates dishes, silverware, knives and glasses/cups perfectly all while being spacious and space saving at the same time. Plus it looks good too!

Customer Review: Changed my mind about this...
Summary: 2 Stars

When I first got this, I was impressed with it over my old dish rack and gave it five stars. I've used it for four months now and I no longer think it's all it first seems to be. It's a lot larger than my old rack and that's one of the positives for me, because I don't have to stop midway through cleaning dishes to dry them. I like the knife block, too.

Unfortunately, the downsides are starting to outweigh the positives. I originally liked that it had little feet that I could pop up since my sink has a large lip to it, but it still doesn't raise the rack up enough to make it drain into the sink. Instead, it's been draining onto my counter and floor. The rack also comes with holes on two sides so you can pick where you want to place the spout that runs into the sink for drainage, and you plug up the unused holes with a plastic piece. Unfortunately, mine is still leaking through the plugged holes. The underside of my laminate countertop has started getting waterlogged and is getting ruined.

And another downside that tipped the scales for me tonight; the front of the rack where you place the dishes is not covered, and one of my plates got pushed over and off and broke on the floor. So, after months of use, I wouldn't recommend this rack to anyone, especially for the price.
