Tools and Hardware Reviews of simplehuman KT1025 System Stainless-Steel Dish RackCustomer Review: disappointing... Summary: 2 Stars
You would think that a company like simplehuman would be aware enough of current trends in kitchen design to realize that newer kitchen sink designs have larger edges than traditional designs, and that thus a dish rack needs to have more clearance for proper drainage. Otherwise, this rack is OK. I'm just really disappointed that I dropped the cash on a nice dishrack only to find I have to jerry-rig it as much as my $5 wire rack from Walmart.
Customer Review: embarassing but true Summary: 5 Stars
I never thought I would write a review on a dishrack..so uncool..however, I do not have a dishwasher, and do alot of dishes. I just thought a person had to struggle with poor quality and keep replacing junk. I first saw this in a store for $52 I thought who would be so crazy as to spend this many $ on a dishrack. I, in a fit of consumer madness, bought mine for $39 on Amazon. What a deal. I love it. So don't be hesitant to get one and don't be embarassed to rave about it.
Customer Review: humanly simple Summary: 5 Stars
Dish racks by definition are low tech. This model crams as much technical insight into its design as any other I've used. Basically a well designed dish rack. Good plate holder, good sized utensil containers, good drainage, and very versatile. After using this rack for a couple of weeks we moved things around swapping ends and putting the utensil holder right next to the plate rack, opposite of the product photo. Muy bueno! Coupled with amazon's great service...couldn't ask for more.
Customer Review: love this dishrack dryer Summary: 5 Stars
Compared to my previous all plastic, mildewy, non-draining dish rack, this is great :). It is pretty sturdy, and each of the individual dish holders really holds the dish firmly in place. My last dish rack never drained and ended up all sorts of funky orangy/green/black shades. I can see this drain immediately after putting something in there!
I also love how it has sturdy cup holders that I can put to the outside so it gives me more space to put larger items in the main area. The knife holder is another big plus, since I used to shove all the knives/utensils into the same holder, it gets a little dangerous sometimes even though I put the knives with the handles up.
I was at first skeptical it would be a good dishrack, but it has been a few months and I haven't had to clean the pan below and it's holding up very well!
Customer Review: not impressed- too heavy/clunky Summary: 2 Stars
I ordered this super-expensive dish rack based on good reviews but was sadly disappointed. It's really clunky. The mat on the bottom isn't really a mat, but a big heavy tall hard plastic stand that the drainer sits on--which makes it really hard to move this thing. Also, the metal bottom of the drainer is horrible--the slats are way too far apart, so anything other than a huge heavy thing tips over. My $5.99 Rubermaid plastic dishrack was much better!
