I bought this dish rack believing the positive reviews about it. Well, I discovered it certainly was not worth spending that much. The design of the product is very poor. The dish rack leaks, many items placed in the rack don't dry very well, especially with the knife and silverware holder. The knives don't have enough space around them to dry and the silverware holder is useless, since a puddle of water remains on the bottom all day. This is the perfect dishrack. The Platonic ideal. All other dishracks strive to be this dishrack.
Seriously though, this is a sweet device. The makers clearly put a great deal of thought into its design and construction. $50 is a lot for a dishrack, but you'll understand once you have it. The KT1025 is a keeper. It'll outlast the five $10 cheapo dishracks you'd otherwise end up going through over the years.
Customer Review: Plastic Drain Tray Cracked and Broke Shortly Afterwards

A little over a month and the thin plastic drain tray began showing a noticeable crack on one corner- probably stress caused by one corner of the rack. It broke off soon afterwards. This is a design flaw as it should have been made out of thicker plastic or a more durable material altogether. A shame as it is otherwise a useful product (just not when it now leaks water all over the place).Customer Review: Plastic bottom chips!

OK so this dishrack is great because it is reversible and easy to clean, but the accolades end there.
A corner of the plastic drain board chipped off within one week of using it. After having it a year, three corners have chipped...and then chipped again resulting in BIGGER chips. (which means LEAKS!!) I felt bad that I spent so much money on it and it is so terrible, but I just can't take it any more so I am here to buy a new one. I will take glowing positive reviews with a chunk of salt from now on!!
Also, this dishrack is really only good for plates and similar items. Pots just don't stack well on it...and that's all we wash by hand...our plates go in the dishwasher.

This dish drainer has one of the worst designs I've seen. There are large open areas on the sides which allow items to slip through the openings and crash onto the floor. You can't stack your pots and pans more than one level high. Thanks to this dish drainer I have dents all over my hardwood floor below it.
