simplehuman trash cans work great at keeping the stench contained but every time I lifted the lid to throw something new it was as though it was belching in my face a decomposed version of last night's dinner. I felt like I needed a gas mask just to throw something away so I bought the simplehuman Odorsorb Trash Can Odor Filters. It came with a simple package, allowing me to just stick it to the underside of the trash can's lid. It fits perfectly and took all of 30 seconds. The next time, and every time since, I smell nothing when I throw something away. I've used this for about a week so far and am so glad I bought it as a natural way to keep the air I breathe smelling fresh, or at least odorless.

The simplehuman activated carbon filter naturally absorbs odors. After extended use, the filter's odor absorbing ability can be recharged by placing it in direct sunlight. To use, simply peel off the double-sided adhesive tape on the back of the filter and attach to a clean surface area where there are odors, such as the underside of your trash can's lid or inside a cabinet door.
