My recent garbage can broke thanks to my dog always knocking it over while he is running around. I decided i wanted to find a nice looking, great functioning, and most important, a lid locking garbage can. If you've experienced the same problem as me with any pet this garbage can would eliminate all the hassle of cleaning up the trash after its knocked over. The lid locking is a great feature along side its great looks. Another nice feature is the lid closes slowly so there is no loud sound which could be annoying. I know you can go to any store and buy a garbage can but this one is well worth the shipping time, which thanks to amazon.com isn't all that much !Customer Review: Great Quality

This basket is perfect for my needs. The foot pedal works great and I love the gradual closing of the lid--great idea!! It is very easy to use with the tall white trash bags i get at the supermarket. Removal of a bag and replacing one is very easy and the basket itself is a high quality item.I was so impressed with this manufacturer that I ordered a kitchen soap dispenser too. My wife and I saw this at Crates & Barrel but we already have one of those all-aluminum rube like trash can we got as a gift. But I've always hated the fact the it's hard to remove the bag from the can and the circular shape just don't hold that much trash. So we decided to return the other one and get this.
Well, we came back the next day it was all sold out, they called other C&B and nobody has them in stock all over SoCal so we bought it via Amazon.
Overall, it's a pretty simple and nice trash can, the only thing is that when you step on it the lid may hit whatever it's behind it so be sure to give it some space if you put it against the wall. Otherwise a slick and smooth trash can! Let's see how long it lasts.

My only concern going into this purchase was based on other reviews. One said the trash can stuck out (depth) a littler further than other trash cans and another review commented on the size of the trash can being smaller than the traditional 13 gallon size. I have had no problems or complaints with the can so far. It does not stick out any further than my last one. The locking mechanism is great and I love the idea of the slow closing lid. As for the size of the can, there is actually less wasted space in the bag when it's full compared our last trash can that was a 13 gallon. I know that sounds weird, but somehow it works for us! I would highly recommend this product.
