I bought this product because I had a cylinder shaped kitchen can that would not hold a full garbage bags worth of trash. This can does. It holds enough trash to fill the bag completely. Love the slim design. Fits perfectly beside the fridge and does not protrude into hallway. Good contruction. Love the way the lid closes very slowly. Locks if you have naughty pets. Very stylish. The wheels I find are not useful for any reason. All in all a very good buy.Customer Review: Glad I bought it

The shape of the waste can makes it efficient. Had a round can before and it would fill up with very little trash because of the shape. The lid raises with a little push with your foot, and it closes slowly instead of slamming shut.Customer Review: Good But Flawed

Arrived cracked but the crack doesn't affect the functioning of the bin. The roller wheels which move it around fall off without much effort.
That said, once you have it immobilized its a great product. The foot pedal feels solid and the lid gently closes instead of slamming shut like on other models. It has enough weight that it won't slide around on the floor when you step on the pedal. Looks nice, standard bags are a tight fit so overfilling doesn't cause the bags to fall into the bin which is nice.
Overall, aside from a couple of minor glitches, I'm happy I got this instead of a $100 chrome can.

It doesn't look like its worth it's price but it's a good product overall. I did some shopping around and I think this was the best bet for my household. One of the things that makes me happy is the fact that the bag doesn't get stuck in the trashcan. It actually slides out pretty easy if you get a 13 gallon bag. I bought this can to replace one of those high tech garbage eaters... you know, the one that has an IR 'eye' on the front of it to open automatically. As a lover of all things tech I can tell you that there are simply places it does not belong. This can is very simple yet quite sturdy. All that was required to put together was to snap on the lid and take off a couple of stickers. It is nice and slim and hugs the side of the island, staying well out of the traffic path. The pedal activated opening mechanism is smooth and feels very stable. The locking mechanism is a nice touch if you have little ones or hungry animals, though we do not need it. The only thing I would do to improve it would be to include hooks or a band at the top to keep the bag up and open. The opening is quite large and does stretch an average kitchen bag open but throw anything weighty in there and it could still slip.
