We needed a trash can with a lid and this one looked great. Within a week the bottom lever underneath the garbage can broke, so you can no longer open it with the footpetal. The only thing that can really go wrong with the trash can DID and only in a week! I wouldn't buy this cheap can again. Take my advise, don't throw your $ in the trash by buying this can.Customer Review: Petproof-yea!

I ordered a Simplehuman step trash can to replace one that had broken. The size is perfect, and has a hydrolic lift that keeps the lid from slamming shut when it closes which is really unique. The product was shipped rapidly after I ordered it. It is a great trash can and priced very, very reasonably for this great product.
