This wasn't easy for me to install, but I was doing it wrong. I couldn't figure out how to get the pieces apart to install it, so I just did it with the trash can out and everything else together. It was awkward, but probably my own fault. And you can do that, it works, it's just awkward. Anyway. It's incredibly sturdy. I'm always upset with the quality whenever I buy anything these days, but I'm really happy with this trash can. It'll last decades, I think.
This isn't what I expected it to be... it's what I hoped it would be.

Trash cans are pretty unexciting, but this one is awfully nice. I previously owned a pull-out trash can that I bought at Home Depot. It was serviceable for a while, but ultimately its flimsiness caught up with it.
This is an entirely different ball of wax. The simplehuman pull out trash can is exceptionally well made with a sturdy frame and strong ball bearing tracks. I highly recommend it.

The product quality is really good for the price. The manual says it fits on a standard size cabinet, I guess it is right except that my sink is 12" deep, too deep that this waste can almost can't get in but my husband is very handy to solve the problem by cutting 1/2" of the height. It looks great and slides easily, one thing they need improve is to put cover on it, otherwise, I still recommend this product.Customer Review: Good trash can

We are using this trash can for re-cycling in our kitchen, It's a perfect size to hold a grocery paper bag into which we put our plastics, paper and glass bottles. Every few days it needs emptying into our separate containers for each in the garage - wow do I feel organized! We are lucky we have a kitchen large enough to do it, but it's so nice not to have those 'piles' of re-cycling materials on the kitchen counter awaiting a trip out to the garage. The can is well made and was easy to fix to the cabinet base. The chrome handle (really just part of the top rail) is well designed for easy use. We have put this can in a cupboard with no drawer above which means it is very easy to place items into it without sliding out the can every time. All round a good purchase.
